Key Dates : Self Assessment 2019

The 2019 Self Assessment Tax Return deadline is fast approaching. Make sure you don’t fall foul of missing the submission deadline and also tax payment dates. Please make note of the key dates below:

5 October 2019 – This is the deadline for registering for Self Assessment if you are a sole trader or are self-employed. This date also applies for individuals wishing to register a partnership or a new partner.

31 October 2019 – If you are filing a paper return, you must file your tax return with HMRC by this date.

31 January 2020 – The deadline for filing an online tax return for the tax year 2018/19. You will also be required to pay any tax owed and if applicable, make your first payment on account for the tax year 2019/20.

31 July 2020 – This is the deadline for making your second payment on account for 2019/20.
